Karen New Year
On January 10, 2016, Blue Willow Restaurant joined the Karen Society in their New Year celebration, Year 2755.
The Karen Community is made up of immigrants from Burma, now known as Myanmar. Many came to Canada as refugees and have contributed to our city.
Blue Willow with the Karen Community Association awarded six young students with bursaries and gift certificates. We congratulate the junior and high school students who were recognized for their academic success.

It's Year of the monkey!
Come and celebrate Chinese New Year 2016 from Feb 02 - 14, with an exclusive traditional menu in our dining room.
Marinated minced pork is wrapped and pan fried to perfection.
Crispy Skin Chicken
Tender chicken under a crispy layer of non-battered skin and served with shrimp flavoured chips. (Whole chicken serves 3-4 persons or half serves 2-3 persons.
Dusted shrimps are wok-fried with a sweet citrus mango sauce.
Served with blanched broccoli to keep Mom happy.
Fat Choy Fish "Prosperous Fish"
Pacific white fish lightly battered and served with citrus lemon sauce and shrimp flavoured chips

For lovers of spicy food, Blue Willow is launching its new Szechuan menu September 5th, 2015. Come and join us for a great time...
Blue Willow and the Mah Family hosted the 6th annual golf tournament at Hunters Green Golf Club on Sunday, August 30th. Eight –four golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of golfing and trying their hand on fun holes, using non-golfing equipment. We were entertained by two guest speakers, Gregg Pilling and Cole Benson.
Gregg Pilling, ex-Oil King right winger, won Memorial Cup in 1962-63 and turned pro with Memphis in the Detroit Red Wing chain; spoke on why he was voted by the Oil King Alumni as the dirtiest Oil King ever. Gregg entertained the golfers with his stories from his hockey career.
Cole Benson, who was Oil King’s center for 4 years, winning 2 Ed Chynoweth Cups and 1 Memorial Cup, shared his experiences with the Oil King. Unfortunately for us, Cole is leaving Edmonton to play at University of Western Ontario. We wish him success.
The winning team was Clayton Knoll, Duncan Knoll and Rob Hibbert, with a score of 6 under.
From our silent auction, raffles and donations, we raised over $5200 for the Lite House in the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) and support other volunteer programs at the Cross. Total contributions in Suzanne's memory, including the previous 5 golf tournaments, totalled over $35,730.00. Her name will be inscribed on CCI 's Memorial Wall. Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and golfers for their support.

Inviting All Golfers!
The Blue Willow Restaurant is hosting its 6th Annual Suzanne Mah Memorial Texas Scramble Golf Tournament on Sunday, 30 August, 2015 at Hunters Green golf course. For $100, golf 18 holes with shared golf carts and chicken/steak dinner. There will be raffles, silent auctions (including jewellry fromTara Jewellers) and golf/hockey items. Door prizes for every golfer. The proceeds go towards the Lite House and other volunteer projects at the Cross Cancer Institute. Please consider being a sponsor and/or golf in this fun event.
