Every month, a player is chosen by the fans or by the Oil Kings management as the player who deserves to be recognized for his determination and consistent play. He is honored on ice, his name engraved onto the Blue Willow Unsung Hero Trophy and receives a $50 gift certificate from Blue Willow. This season, the players were:
